Buxa Farm Chalets - Orphir (Orkney)

The lodging was absolutely mind-blowing with spacious rooms and breathtaking views from every window. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities, including a reliable internet connection. The hosts were super-friendly and provided us with tons of local information. Despite our late arrival, they greeted us with a welcome gift and were extremely accommodating. We wish we had known more about the Orkneys as we would have extended our stay to explore further. We would definitely return in a heartbeat!

The chalet we stayed in during our trip to Orkney had stunning views overlooking the sea. We were able to watch gannets fishing while enjoying our breakfast and witness beautiful sunsets every evening. The chalet itself was clean, warm and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The owner was friendly and helpful. We were able to explore the cliff top paths and visit various archaeological sites. The location was convenient for both Stromness and Kirkwall, where we did our shopping. The chalet also had plenty of outdoor space, perfect for families with children.

The beach adjacent to the property was not sandy.

Mind-blowing communication, super comfy croft house with jaw-dropping views, welcome pack of local treats, informative host, and well-equipped kitchen with Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV. Free parking, mini-golf, hiking, fishing, diving, horseback riding. No pets or smoking allowed. Wheelchair accessible.

We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf hier! Het personeel bij de receptie was erg aardig en vriendelijk, en maakte ons meteen welkom voelen. Het ontbijt was ook geweldig, met een grote keuze aan buffetopties elke dag. Onze kinderen vonden vooral het zwembadgedeelte leuk, vooral omdat er een apart kinderbad was. De locatie van het hotel is uitstekend. Het is dicht bij Konyalti strand, op slechts een korte 10 minuten lopen, en het museum ligt vlakbij. Natuurlijk zijn er twee tramhaltes op slechts 5 minuten lopen van het hotel, die je naar de oude binnenstad en andere belangrijke locaties brengen. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon, en het uitzicht vanaf ons balkon was prachtig. We waren ook erg blij dat we elke dag de koelkast konden gebruiken voor koude drankjes en water, vooral met het warme zomerweer. Als we ooit terugkomen naar deze stad, zouden we zeker weer in dit hotel verblijven!

Niets verwerpelijk, het was perfect.

The location was unreeeal, right next to a sick waterfront with insane views of Hoy and Scapa Flow. We were all about that scenic life, and the path down to the water was epic. The chalets were straight fire, newly renovated and super clean. The kitchen had mad views, and the living room with the wood burning stove was so cozy.

If there's one thing we could've used, it's more turn-up options for us young party animals. A chill area in the chalets with some cool vibes and a sick sound system would've taken our vacay to another level.

Stayed at a waterfront property with amazing views, enjoyed free WiFi, and had the convenience of free private parking. Loved the garden and barbecue facilities. The chalet had a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy dining area.

Surprisingly, the nearest airport wasn't in my backyard.

We recently stayed at a charming cottage in the beautiful Orkneys. The cottage provided everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to a cozy and comfortable living area. The views were amazing, with fine sunrises and sunsets over the sea. The location was convenient, great to easily explore the island attractions. The owner was friendly and helpful, we had a nice stay. we highly recommend this hidden gem in the Orkneys.

The beautiful location overlooking Scapa Flow provided stunning sunsets and mesmerizing views of Hoy. The chalet was comfortable, well-equipped, and had a cozy feel. Our children loved the nearby play structure, and the beach, although rocky, was great for bird-watching.

For dads, it would be great to have a designated area for outdoor activities.
